CSRnet School Board Resources
CSRnet is continually "surfing" the net to find resources that will assist you as a school board member in a Christian school. Presently, most of the world wide web sites are not Christian in emphasis, but contain important information. CSRnet does not endorse any site, but seeks to provide these resources for your professional preparation. If you find a site that other board members would appreciate, please e-mail Dennis Mills.
We appreciate any resources that you have developed for your school that would be helpful for others to see. We will be pleased to put such articles, policies, etc., on CSRnets website and give you and your school the online credit.
A new contributor to CSRnet School Board Resources is Steven Bishopp from Olympia, Washington. He has formed the BESTCompany to provide Christian board consulting services. Steve has a rich educational background and excellent board experience. His email is sbishopp@orcalink.com His website is:

CSRnet will do its best to analyze which websites are useful for Christian school board members. The positions held by the authors of the links below are not those of CSRnet.

The Rutherford Institute The Rutherford Institute is an international, nonprofit, legal and educational organization that specializes in the defense of religious liberty and human rights. John W. Whitehead founded The Rutherford Institute in 1982 to respond to the widespread discrimination and persecution he witnessed against religious persons.
Workers Compensation Law Materials Workers' Compensation laws are designed to ensure that employees who are injured or disabled on the job are provided with fixed monetary awards, eliminating the need for litigation. These laws also provide benefits for dependents of those workers who are killed because of work-related accidents or illnesses. Some laws also protect employers and fellow workers by limiting the amount an injured employee can recover from an employer and by eliminating the liability of co-workers in most accidents.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1995 Not many Christian school board members are aware of federal guidelines that could affect their school. Check out the information on this site.
OSHA - Occupational Safety and Health Administration Nearly every working man and woman in the nation comes under OSHA's jurisdiction (with some exceptions such as miners, transportation workers, many public employees, and the self-employed). Other users and recipients of OSHA services include: occupational safety and health professionals, the academic community, lawyers, journalists, and personnel of other government entities.
