Science Magazines on the Internet

Choose a magazine, news agency or other information site from the following list. These are popular sites that allow readers to search for information on science related topics. Some of the sites are for specific topics, such as astronomy; other sites may be used to search for a wide range of science topics. 

Note: You may also use a print magazine instead of the Internet for this assignment.

Select a full length article.  It should be at least two pages long.  Put the following information on a piece of notebook paper:

  1. Your heading.  After the heading, SKIP A LINE,
  2. List the name of the article and list the pages on which the article can be found.
  3. On the next line list the:
  4. Skip a line.
  5. Write ten (10) facts or ideas you learned from this article:
  6. Write one paragraph summarizing your opinion of the information in the article.

Be sure that you have followed all the directions so that you will get full credit.

Grades for Articles: Articles will be REQUIRED and you will receive the following grades if you all directions are followed:

One article 60% (D-)
Two articles 70% (C-)
Three articles 80% (B-)
Four articles 90% (A-)
Five articles 100% (A)
